Live music and photography meet in Parete for an evening uniting different arts under one roof. On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Parete Art Museum, housed in the Palazzo Ducale, will host the closing of the photography exhibition "Beyond the Image" with an event culminating in a live performance by Mormile, ready to present his debut album "Miracoli, Catrame."
The evening, sponsored by the "La Tenda" association, will kick off at 8:30 pm with the final part of the exhibition-related contest. Participants will be awarded prizes, with one prize chosen by the technical jury and another based on the public's preferences. Following this, at 9:30 pm, music will take center stage with a showcase by the Neapolitan artist.
On stage, Paolo Mormile, on vocals and acoustic guitar, will be joined by Pasquale Storace on keyboards and synths and Francesco Dauria on electric guitar. The concert will focus on "Miracoli, Catrame," an album released in November 2025, a collection of familiar songs alongside new compositions, all united by a clear and recognizable sound.
The project explores the author's inner world, transforming personal experiences, images, and symbols into songs that oscillate between introspection and irony. The album's nine tracks move between funk and electronica, with a colorful and personal musical language that blends vintage influences with contemporary sensibility.
Born in Naples, Mormile began writing songs at a very young age, developing over the years a style that draws on pop with a strong experimental edge. After several musical experiences, including being a member of a gospel choir and founding the band "Leitmotiv," he embarked on a solo career, releasing a series of singles that defined his style, which later culminated in his first album.
Parete's live performance thus represents a symbolic moment, in which the intimate dimension of his songs meets the audience within a space dedicated to visual art, in a dialogue between languages that reflects the very spirit of "Miracoli, Catrame".

I'm very interested in this event, but I'm not sure if I can attend because I have other commitments. Live music is always a great experience, and the combination with photography seems interesting, even though I don't know much about these things.
