Naples: 20-year-old caught at home with drugs and a gun

Arrested by the Neapolitan State Police with a criminal record: marijuana, hashish, cocaine and a loaded weapon among the seizures.

Naples – The extraordinary services of the Naples Police Headquarters to curb the illegal possession of weapons and drug traffickingYesterday evening, officers from the Dante Police Station arrested a 20-year-old Neapolitan man with a criminal record, caught red-handed in his home for illegal possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing and illegal possession of a firearm with ammunition.

During a targeted search as part of planned operations, officers searched the young man's apartment and found two jars containing approximately 210 grams of marijuana, a 110-gram package of hashish, a bag containing 10 grams of cocaine, precision scales, packaging materials, and €1.870 in banknotes of various denominations.

Not only that, but the seizures also included a Browning 9mm semi-automatic pistol with nine rounds of ammunition in the chamber, a box containing 35 rounds of the same caliber, and a DVR video surveillance system with two cameras pointed at the exterior areas of the home.

The suspect was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
