Naples – In recent days, Carabinieri officers from the Naples Bagnoli Company have conducted intensive patrols, concentrated in the Pianura neighborhood. The objective: to ensure compliance with restrictions on personal freedom and combat widespread illegal activity.
The operation, which primarily involved local streets, involved officers conducting sweeps at the homes of individuals subject to precautionary measures or alternative detention. Specifically, 23 individuals were checked who were ordered to remain at home, either under house arrest or under other conditions with restrictions on their liberty.
During these investigations, a 78-year-old man was discovered and reported for escaping. He was not found in his home despite being under house arrest.
The checks were not limited to house arrests. During the operation, the Carabinieri identified 71 people, 33 of whom had criminal records. They also checked 30 vehicles and inspected three betting shops.
Roadside checks resulted in further complaints: three young people were reported to the Prosecutor's Office for being caught driving without ever having obtained a driving license and for having reoffended in the past two years.
The operation in the Pianura plain alone confirms the police's commitment to maintaining vigilance in neighborhoods considered sensitive. The Carabinieri of the Bagnoli Company have once again demonstrated how a "wide-ranging" patrol—combining administrative checks, vehicle inspections, and checks on individuals subject to restrictive measures—is essential to ensuring safety and legality.
