Naples – The Carabinieri of the Poggioreale Company have intensified patrols in the Poggioreale area and surrounding streets. During the high-impact raid, the Operations Unit identified 91 people—36 of whom were already known to law enforcement—and checked 46 vehicles, issuing 17 traffic tickets.
Raffaele Maione, a 24-year-old from Casoria with a criminal record, made his first arrest. He was stopped on Via Stadera and searched. He was found to be hiding seven doses of cocaine and hashish, totaling 20 grams, in his wallet, along with €420 believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The drugs and cash were seized.
Carmine Pocchia, a 55-year-old from Ponticelli, was also arrested. He is serving a 4-year and 4-month prison sentence by order of the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Court of Milan.
A 53-year-old man from Vico Molino dell'Inferno was reported for evading arrest after being caught outside his home despite the restrictions. Finally, seven people were reported as drug users.
