Rome – It was brother Gianluca, not his father, who was injured in the attack that took place overnight in Naples' Spanish Quarter. Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane clarified the situation in an Instagram story detailing the events, denying some reports that had circulated in the hours following the incident.
"As reported by several media outlets," Pisacane writes, "last night my brother Gianluca was involved in an assault, sustaining several gunshot wounds." The man was returning home after closing up the family business, following another day of work in the Spanish Quarter area.
Pisacane wanted to reassure everyone about his brother's condition: "His life is not in danger. He sustained injuries to his leg and is doing well, considering the experience he went through." The coach emphasized that it was a huge scare, not just for Gianluca but for the entire family.
“They didn't want to tell me so as not to worry me, I only found out this afternoon.”
Finally, the clarification: "My father, contrary to what was written, was not attacked." Pisacane concluded by thanking everyone for their support: "I've received so many messages and phone calls in the past few hours. I truly thank everyone for their solidarity and affection."
