Napoli – Rasmus Hojlund is the Serie A Rising Star of the Month for December. Napoli's Danish star, born in 2003, will be honored tonight, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, starting at 6:30 PM at the “Diego Armando Maradona” stadium, before kick-off of the match against Hellas Verona.
The award, reserved exclusively for Under-23 players, is assigned through Kama Sport's innovative analysis system, which processes tracking data from the Hawk-Eye system.
In addition to traditional statistics, the algorithm evaluates crucial qualitative aspects such as off-ball movement, playmaking, and overall contribution to the team's efficiency, offering an objective performance assessment. The final verdict took into account Hojlund's brilliant performances in matchdays 14 to 17 of the championship.
An explosive December, with four goals in just three games, left its mark and made the verdict irrefutable. "An extraordinary December has established Rasmus Hojlund as the Rising Star of the month," said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo, emphasizing the player's virtuous paradox.
“His career, already rich in high-level experience with over 200 professional appearances, almost makes us forget that we're talking about a very young boy, with plenty of room for growth.”
De Siervo also praised the work of the Italian technical director in bringing out the Dane's talent: "The work of Antonio Conte and Napoli is bringing out his qualities to the fullest, adding to the characteristics of a maneuverable center forward the solidity of a great goalscorer."
