Naples – Kidnapping and aggravated robbery against a well-known Neapolitan businessman: this is the accusation that led to the arrest of five people this morning following an investigation by the State Police coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office.
The officers executed a precautionary measure order issued by the preliminary investigations judge: two suspects were taken to prison, two were placed under house arrest, and one was ordered to report to the judicial police. All are considered seriously suspected of having acted in concert.
The events date back to November 5, 2024. According to the investigative reconstruction, two men armed with a gun entered a home on Via Posillipo. Once inside, they took a security guard and a maid hostage, immobilizing them with zip ties on their wrists and ankles.
The woman, as later emerged from the investigation, was apparently an active participant in the criminal plan, acting as a "facilitator" from inside the home.
The robbers stole numerous luxury watches, with a total estimated value of around 500 euros, before fleeing using stolen vehicles.
The immediate investigative activity, conducted by the Naples Flying Squad with the support of the Posillipo Police Station, involved interviews with victims and several witnesses, as well as complex technical work. The evidence gathered allowed us to identify the role of each suspect and reconstruct the entire sequence of events.
The investigations revealed the presence of three other individuals involved in the criminal activity: two of them acted as "lookouts," providing cover outside the home during the robbery, while the family's employee facilitated the robbers' entry and action.
The operation, in its methodology and organization, confirms investigators' focus on targeted attacks against entrepreneurs and professionals, often preceded by a planning phase and internal complicity. Investigations are continuing to clarify any additional responsibilities and recover the stolen goods.
