Naples – He had been missing for days, but his attempt to escape justice ended unexpectedly. A 54-year-old man, subject to a detention order issued on January 21 by the Court of Naples, was arrested by the Carabinieri while hiding in a bed box.
The man was serving a four-year and three-month prison sentence for robbery and extortion. However, when officers from the Borgoloretto station arrived at his home to execute the order, there was no trace of him. From that moment on, he was officially wanted.
The investigation never stopped. Yesterday evening, the Carabinieri identified a possible hideout: the apartment of an acquaintance in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. A search of the rooms initially yielded no results, until one of the officers noticed a suspicious bed.
When they lifted the mattress, they discovered the 54-year-old man curled up inside the truck. Arrested and taken to prison, before being handcuffed, he reportedly resignedly commented, "Brigadiè, I tried."

The article is very interesting, but there are some points that aren't entirely clear. How did this man hide in a bed without being discovered first? Justice should be more effective in these cases.
