Naples – Yesterday afternoon, violence erupted on Via Taddeo da Sessa, where a 59-year-old Neapolitan man with a criminal record was arrested by the State Police on charges of robbery and assault.
The incident occurred before the eyes of officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station. During a routine patrol, officers observed the 59-year-old man brutally assaulting a woman. After forcefully snatching her purse, the man attempted to quickly flee into the surrounding streets.
The escape, however, lasted only a few moments: the police intervened promptly, managing to reach and arrest the criminal before he could disappear.
The individual, who already has a criminal record for similar offenses, was taken to the office and, following the usual formalities, placed under arrest. This operation underscores the importance of constant law enforcement presence in the city's most sensitive areas, allowing for an immediate response to street crimes.

It's truly sad that things like this happen in the city. Violence and crime seem to be on the rise, and no one knows what to do to stop it. Law enforcement does an important job, but sometimes it seems like it's not enough.
