A thirty-three-year-old woman from Pompeii died late on Monday afternoon, January 5th, in the intensive care unit of the Umberto I Hospital, succumbing to a massive cerebral hemorrhage that occurred moments after giving birth.

The drama in the hospital ward. The sequence of events began last Friday at the Sarno hospital. The woman, after giving birth to her second child via cesarean section, suffered the first fatal symptoms: excruciating headaches and vision problems.

His clinical condition deteriorated within minutes, requiring emergency transfer to Nocera Inferiore. Imaging tests immediately confirmed the severity of his neurological damage, rendering all attempts to stabilize him in intensive care futile.

The final act of generosity: At 19:00 PM, after the six-hour observation period required by the brain death protocol, the doctors officially declared his death. Despite their grief, the family has reportedly provided the green light for organ donation.
