A tragic accident occurred yesterday evening on the A16 Napoli–Canosa motorway, heading towards Naples, in the municipality of Nola, near the A30 junction. Two people lost their lives following a collision between two cars.
The victims were a 60-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man, likely a husband and wife. Rescue efforts were unsuccessful: nothing could be done for either of them.
The findings of the Highway Police
Avellino Highway Police officers, responsible for the route, responded to the accident scene and conducted surveys to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the collision. The cause remains under investigation; these investigations are still ongoing.
