Pomigliano – It was just after 1:20 a.m. when the silence of Via Masseria Chiavettieri was shattered by a violent incursion. A commando of hooded men stormed the area of the former "Romano" soccer school, turning a quiet nighttime patrol into a nightmare for a 50-year-old worker.

The ambush and the guns drawn

According to initial reconstructions provided by the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna mobile radio unit, the group of criminals went into action with paramilitary precision.

At least one of the robbers was armed, pointing his gun at the night watchman to subdue him. Although the robbery's target might have appeared to be of little commercial value, the criminals' determination was brutal.

A “blue” loot

What makes this episode unusual is the object of the theft. The bandits weren't searching for electronic equipment or money in the safe, but instead stole two bags containing numerous Napoli Calcio flags. This unusual haul opens up several avenues of investigation: from commissioned theft for the illegal resale of merchandise, to scenarios linked to organized fan activity, or even simple acts of aggravated vandalism.

The victim, a 50-year-old man who was on duty at the scene, was the worst of the attackers. He was struck in the face and suffered several abrasions, requiring emergency transport to the Nola hospital. Fortunately, his condition doesn't appear to be serious, but the shock from the attack remains profound.

Carabinieri officers have arrived at the scene of the raid and conducted initial forensic investigations. They are examining surveillance cameras in the area to trace the criminals' escape route. The investigation remains comprehensive, aiming to identify the members of the commando.

Indeed, the situation is getting worse and worse, and citizens must feel safe while working or returning home. We hope the authorities will take action.

I agree with you, but it's also important to understand the causes of these behaviors. Perhaps there's a need for more security in sensitive areas like the one where the accident occurred.

This episode is very serious and makes us think about how dangerous our country has become. People who behave this way have no respect for anyone, not even those who work nights.
