Portici – Yesterday evening, officers from the Portici-Ercolano Police Station arrested a 46-year-old man from Portici, with a criminal record, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
During a territorial control operation, the police officers, passing through Via Diaz in Portici, stopped a car carrying the man, finding him in possession of a package containing approximately 7 grams of cocaine and 730 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations.
Believing there could be further evidence of drug dealing, the officers extended their investigation to a cellar used by the suspect in San Giorgio a Cremano, where they found approximately 1,5 kg of cocaine, a precision scale, and packaging materials.
The man was then arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
