The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, has appointed a new City Council and relaunched the administration at a delicate yet crucial time for the city's future. Maria Magliulo has been confirmed as Deputy Mayor with responsibilities for Productive Activities and Tourism, while the Executive maintains strong continuity in the budget, environment, education, culture, urban planning, and mobility. Alongside these confirmed appointments, new figures have been added to the team, tasked with strengthening strategic sectors such as public works, social policies, and youth policies.
The new council was formed with the support of the so-called Campo Largo, which brings together political and civic forces at the local, provincial, and regional levels. This step, Manzoni calls crucial to addressing ongoing challenges. "This council faces a major challenge: completing the strategic actions already underway, which are essential for the city's revitalization."
The mayor clearly outlines the route. "Pozzuoli is one of the most important cities in the region and is going through a difficult period due to bradyseism." This criticality coexists with new prospects. "At the same time, it is experiencing extraordinary opportunities for economic and social revitalization, starting with the strong interest of investors in the area."
Manzoni asserts a political method and priority. "We intend to move forward with commitment and a sense of duty, placing the city's interests ahead of those, however legitimate, of individual political forces." He also sends a message of openness. "We remain open to discussion and the involvement of all parties who wish to work for the good of our Pozzuoli."

It's interesting to see Mayor Manzoni's decision to retain some people and bring in others. I hope this new administration can do well for Pozzuoli, even though there are many challenges to face that aren't easy.
