Sorrento. The Naples Police Headquarters' extraordinary territorial patrols to combat drug trafficking and dealing continue unabated. As part of these operations, yesterday evening, the State Police arrested a 38-year-old man, a resident of Naples, for illegal possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

The raid took place in the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula, where officers from the Sorrento Police Station were engaged in a targeted patrol. The officers' attention was focused on a car, which was checked. A 38-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, was found inside the vehicle.

When searched by officers, the man was found in possession of 19 doses of cocaine, already divided into packages ready for sale, weighing approximately 13 grams in total. In addition to the drugs, officers seized €770 in cash, divided into small bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The investigation, coordinated by the local judicial authorities, is now aimed at reconstructing the possible supply and distribution network of the narcotic in the Sorrento area.

The arrested man, taken to the Naples prison, was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities for validation of the arrest and subsequent procedures. This operation demonstrates the effectiveness of the constant presence of law enforcement in the area, a crucial safeguard for the safety of residents and the numerous tourists who flock to the coast.

The article I'm reading seems to do a good job of informing people about what's happening in Sorrento. But there are still questions about how drugs are so prevalent and whether the authorities are doing enough to prevent it.
