Quarto experienced a serious disaster on the night of January 14, when a truck used to transport food was destroyed by fire, depriving owner Antonio Calabrese of his main source of income. An online charity campaign has already raised nearly €9.000.

Fourth, a truck set on fire in the middle of the night: in a matter of minutes, a work vehicle was destroyed, and with it, virtually the ability to continue working. It happened on January 14th, and the story is told in an online appeal in support of Antonio Calabrese, owner of the vehicle used daily for food transport.

After the fire, a GoFundMe fundraiser was launched by a friend, Antonio Castaldo. The campaign has already raised approximately €9.000 and received 600 donations, a sign of the rapid response from residents and supporters.

"That truck was the fruit of years of sacrifice: early morning wake-ups, endless days, hard work and dedication," Castaldo writes in his description of the initiative. The damage isn't just financial: without the truck, Calabrese can't resume his business, and purchasing an equivalent vehicle is described as an "unsustainable cost to face alone."

The aim of the collection, the appeal continues, is "not to leave him alone" and to help him get back on his feet, giving him back the opportunity to return to work "with dignity."
