Naples – The story of SV, a 24-year-old from Naples, begins in August 2025 when, following a European arrest warrant issued by French authorities, he was tracked down and locked up in Poggioreale prison.
A few days after the interrogation, the young man was ordered to remain in residence, but the Attorney General's decision to proceed with extradition changed the situation. Upon notification of his final surrender to France, the young man disappeared for several weeks.
An escape that ended with a second arrest and subsequent forced transfer, which took place in November, to prisons in France.
The “commuting” of luxury crime
The young Neapolitan is accused of serious charges: he is allegedly part of a criminal syndicate specializing in seasonal trips to the French Riviera. The phenomenon of luxury watch robbers from Campania in elite resorts like Cannes and Saint-Tropez is closely monitored by Interpol.
According to investigators, the gang identified their victims (often wealthy tourists) at bar tables or at the exits of casinos, before striking with quick and violent raids.
The success of the defense team
Despite the precedent of untraceability in Italy, the defense team's strategy overturned the precautionary situation. Neapolitan lawyers Marco Spena and Andrea Scardamaglio, working in synergy with French lawyer Celine Cesar of the Draguignan Bar, managed to convince the judge of the Court of Grasse that the precautionary measures needed to be mitigated.
Yesterday, the young man left his cell: he will remain in France, but with the sole requirement of periodically reporting to the local judicial police to sign.
Naples – Tense moments occurred last night at Naples Central Station, where a routine security check escalated into violence. A man, a non-EU citizen who was later found to be illegally residing in Italy, was arrested by the State Police on charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a public official after attacking train staff…
Naples – Carabinieri officers struck at the heart of the suburban drug dealing ring: officers from the Bagnoli Company's Operations Unit made a swift arrest in the Soccavo neighborhood, a historically sensitive area, along with the neighboring Rione Traiano, for retail drug trafficking. Late yesterday evening, Carabinieri officers on anti-drug duty…
In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Naples Borgo Loreto Station executed a precautionary detention order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Court of Naples at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The order concerns a 51-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement, who is seriously suspected of stalking...

This case is very complicated, and there are many legal aspects to consider. I don't understand how a fugitive can be released, but the law obviously has its reasons.
