The Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a new extension to the deadline for the eviction of the Sant'Agnello social housing complex on Via MB Gargiulo, currently under seizure. The decision postpones the occupants' exit to March 20, 2026, following the previous deadline of December 20, 2025, which was later extended to January 20, 2026.

The measure concerns a complex of 53 residential units, as well as appurtenances and common areas (including garages, motorcycle parking, cellars, and utility rooms). The order requires occupants to vacate the buildings and areas "of people and property" by the new deadline.

The basis of the choice, the Prosecutor's Office reports, is the calendar of the next hearings of the trial pending before the Court of Torre Annunziata, defined at the hearing of
21.1.2026. The judges have set 5.3.2026 for the completion of the preliminary hearing, 11.3.2026 for the hearing of the public prosecutor and the civil parties and the
March 17, 2026 for the discussion of the defense.

According to the statement, the extension was granted ex officio to "await the Court's imminent ruling" before proceeding with any forced eviction of the seized properties.

The Prosecutor's Office's decision appears to be complicated for the squatters, who now have to wait. I hope things are resolved peacefully and that there's clarity on what will happen.
