A night of drug checks in San Giorgio a Cremano, where Carabinieri officers from the local station arrested a 20-year-old local man for possession with intent to sell narcotics.
During a specially arranged operation, officers stopped and searched Mario Canzanella, already known to law enforcement. The young man was found in possession of several doses of cocaine and hashish ready for sale, as well as 136 grams of hashish concealed on his person.
During the check, 530 euros in cash were also seized, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The arrested man, born in Naples on July 12, 2005, and resident in San Giorgio a Cremano, has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities and is currently awaiting trial.

It's incredible how young people can end up in situations like this. Drugs are a serious problem, but we must also consider the social context in which they live. We hope there are more initiatives to help these kids.
