A high-tension operation took place in the center of San Nicola la Strada. Upon seeing the patrol car, the young man first attempted to flee on foot, throwing the loaves of bread, then hid in an apartment building. He was stopped and arrested. He is already in talks with the juvenile magistrate.

San Nicola la Strada – A routine evening patrol turned into a tense operation, with a pursuit and a final raid, culminating in the arrest of a minor heavily implicated in drug trafficking. The Carabinieri of the Caserta Company's Operational and Mobile Unit were the key players, putting an end to the latest escape of a 17-year-old.

It all began around 23:10 PM last night, as the patrol car was driving through the streets adjacent to Piazza Municipio. From the car, officers noticed a suspicious movement in the rearview mirror: a young man, escorting the patrol car, suddenly changed direction and hastily fled into the parking lot of a pharmacy. A gesture that didn't go unnoticed.

The Carabinieri, suspecting an attempt to evade a checkpoint, briefly circled the block and returned to the scene. The boy was still there. As soon as one of the officers came down for the customary identification, the boy reacted: the 17-year-old took off running, sparking a frantic foot chase through the heart of the city.

The mad dash unfolds between Piazza Municipio and Via Santa Croce, until the fugitive, in desperation, ducks into a side alley. To gain time, he scales a high gate and dives into a condominium park. During his escape, he makes a revealing gesture: he throws several packages to the ground. But the maneuver is in vain. Moments later, the Carabinieri arrest him in the garage of the same building, with no escape route.

Once the abandoned packages were recovered, the picture immediately became clear: they contained hashish. A subsequent personal search of the young man confirmed the worst-case scenario: another block of the same substance was found on him. Taken to the police station for further investigation, the total quantity seized was shocking: 413 grams of hashish, divided into multiple blocks, a weight that ruled out personal use and pointed directly to drug dealing.

The police have no doubts: the young man's behavior, with his reckless escape that put his safety, that of the Carabinieri, and any passersby at risk, aggravates the situation. He is thus arrested red-handed for possession of narcotics with intent to sell and resisting a public officer.

Since the child is a minor, appropriate procedures were initiated immediately. The parents and the Juvenile Court were notified, and by order of the Public Prosecutor of the Juvenile Court of Naples, the 17-year-old was transferred to the "Colli Aminei" Minors' First Reception Center in Naples, where he will remain at the disposal of the judiciary.

The operation is part of a broader territorial control effort launched by the Carabinieri to combat drug dealing, with particular attention to urban areas frequented by young people and families, to ensure safety and decorum.

The article describes a serious and worrying event, but I noticed a lot of unclear information. Why was the minor released earlier? And why haven't there been any other arrests? It would be interesting to know more.
