Sant'Agnello – Carabinieri from the Sorrento station arrested a 48-year-old man with no criminal record, born in 1977, yesterday evening after he was caught red-handed while driving a rental car. During a territory patrol, officers stopped the vehicle, and during the check, the man voluntarily handed over 14 grams of cocaine, divided into 21 doses ready for sale.
The discovery immediately led to handcuffs being snapped: the dealer was placed under house arrest pending trial. He will face charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. The operation confirms law enforcement's focus on territorial control and the repression of drug dealing, even in tourist areas like Sant'Angelo, where the presence of young people and visitors makes surveillance particularly challenging.

This man's arrest shows that law enforcement is doing a good job in combating drug trafficking. But questions remain about how someone can get hold of so much cocaine without being noticed.
