The Emergency Coordination Center met this morning, convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, to review the situation related to the seismic swarm that has been affecting the Phlegraean Fields since yesterday. The main shock, with a magnitude of 3.1, was recorded at 02:23 AM last night.

The meeting was attended by the Mayors and representatives of the civil protection agencies of the Municipalities of Naples, Pozzuoli, Bacoli and Monte di Procida, the General Director of the Regional Civil Protection, the SORU, the Director of the Vesuvian Observatory, the local health representatives, the Fire Brigade and the Police Force.

The earthquake caused no damage or alarm among the population: no critical issues were reported or requests for intervention were received by the Fire Department, and inspections carried out by municipalities revealed no dangerous situations. Municipal Operations Centers and specific health protocols remain active until the seismic swarm is over, while the Rescue Coordination Center will continue to monitor the situation in close collaboration with the Campania Region, SORU, and the Vesuvius Observatory.

I read the article and it seems the situation is fairly under control, even though there have been earthquakes. The municipalities seem prepared, and no damage has been reported, which is positive. However, we need to continue monitoring the situation.
