Striano– The 24-year-old from the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese area, charged with attempted aggravated murder for a shooting that occurred in 2024 inside a market area in Striano, landed this morning at Rome's Fiumicino International Airport.

The man was extradited from Spain pursuant to a European Arrest Warrant.
Upon arrival at the Roman airport, the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Nocera Inferiore Territorial Unit, with the support of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police – International Cooperation Service, served and executed a precautionary detention order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.

According to the investigative reconstruction, on July 24, 2024, during a market day in Striano, the young man allegedly fired several shots at a person, seriously endangering public safety in a crowded area. After the incident, the suspect allegedly disappeared, managing to flee the country before being located and arrested in Spain.

The investigation, coordinated by the Naples DDA, allowed the reconstruction of the attack and the gathering of serious evidence of guilt, leading to the issuance of a precautionary measure and subsequent extradition. The man is now at the disposal of the Italian judicial authorities.
