Naples – The eleven-year-old boy who fell from a height of four meters yesterday at the La Birreria shopping center in the Naples area is still in critical condition.
The child, urgently admitted to Santobono Pediatric Hospital, is struggling with serious internal injuries and is awaiting further tests.
The dynamics of the drama
The incident occurred early Saturday afternoon: the boy, riding a Lem—a small, internal combustion-powered dirt bike—was on the second floor of the parking lot. For reasons yet to be determined, he violently struck a railing, was thrown into the air, and landed heavily on a ramp on the lower floor.
Law enforcement is investigating the culprits, including the presence of a minor driving a vehicle unsuitable for a commercial environment. Updates are forthcoming from Santobono.

This is truly a tragic event. Children shouldn't ride motorcycles in places like shopping malls, and we hope the boy recovers quickly. Safety must be a priority in situations like this, but parents also need to be more vigilant.
