Naples - On Sunday, January 18th, at 6:00 PM, the Nest hosts one of the most anticipated events of its cultural season: "An Evening at the Nest with...", a format that has become a staple, bringing internationally renowned artists to the stage over the years. The event will feature The Jackal, the Neapolitan comedy collective that has revolutionized the language of Italian comedy across the web, television, and film.

Through stories, personal anecdotes, and questions from #GiovaniONest, Fabio Balsamo, Gianluca Fru, and Ciro Priello will temporarily put aside their acting chops to engage in a candid and intense conversation, retracing the milestones of their careers and revealing previously unseen aspects of their professional and personal lives. The show sold out within hours of its announcement, confirming the strong bond between the group and the audience.

From the web to the small screen, a success story

The Jackal achieved fame thanks to "Lost in Google," the first interactive web series, and especially with their cult videos "The Effects of Gomorrah on People," which racked up over 10 million views on YouTube. Clever parody and subtle satire quickly became their trademark.

In 2017, Fru made his film debut with Addio Fottuti Musi Verdi, directed by Francesco Ebbasta and produced by Cattleya. The collaboration with Ebbasta continued in 2021 with Generazione 56K, the group's first Netflix series, which co-stars Fru and Fabio.

Among the most iconic formats is Il Divano Sanremo, launched in 2019 and becoming a true media phenomenon: a week of commentary on the Italian Song Festival, featuring humor and celebrity guests. During the pandemic, The Jackal covered the emergency with the program Tanto non uscivo lo stesso on RaiPlay and with the video for ActionAid Le cose che non ci hanno detto sulla quarantina.

Over the years, the group has expanded its reach by focusing on cross-media content: from social media to podcasts, with Tutto Sanremo ma dura meno and Biscottis: storie dell'internet, to Twitch with LaLa Live. In 2021, they also began commentating on Euro 2020 matches with Europei a Casa The Jackal on RaiPlay.

The journey was further enriched by the publication of the book "Non siamo mai stati bravi a giocare a pallone" (We Never Were Good at Playing Football). We then launched a YouTube channel (Rizzoli), and by television success: Fabio and Ciro hosted "Name That Tune" and "The Floor," while Fru and Aurora participated in "Peking Express" and hosted "Italia's Got Talent."

In 2023, Pesci Piccoli – Un'agenzia, molti idee, poco bilancio (Little Fish – An Agency, Many Ideas, Little Budget), the first series written and produced by the collective, will debut on Prime Video, followed by a second season in 2025. Their focus is already on the future: in spring 2026, The Jackal will return to prime time on Rai2 with Stasera a Letto Tarto (Tonight in Bed Late), a new show that will see all four of them host for the first time.

Meanwhile, at the Nest, an audience awaits them, ready to listen to their story, this time without filters.
