Torre Annunziata – A tense and fearful evening on New Year's Eve along Via Gino Alfani, in the stretch known as "curva," the heart of the city's nightlife. What was supposed to be a festive afternoon suddenly turned chaotic due to a violent brawl between youths, culminating in a stampede involving hundreds of people.
According to initial reports, the fight was sparked by an overused word. Within moments, the situation escalated: shoving, shouting, and the effects of alcohol fueled a spiral of violence that sowed panic among those present, who were forced to rush away for safety.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene, restoring calm and immediately launching an investigation. Officers have collected statements from those present and are analyzing video surveillance footage from the area to accurately reconstruct the events and identify any culprits.
Emergency medical services were also called: a young man, already known to law enforcement, sustained a puncture wound to the eyebrow during the brawl and was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, his condition is not serious.

It's truly unfortunate that a night that was supposed to be a celebration ended this way, with fights and fear. I hope everyone is well and that things return to normal soon, without further incidents.
