Torre del Greco – Not an impromptu soccer match, but a veritable target practice against the state. The Torre del Greco Carabinieri have reported nine people to the judicial authorities, held responsible for aggravated damage to municipal property.
This is a heterogeneous group made up of adults and very young people: the ages of those under investigation range between 45 and 14, with the involvement of even a boy who, at the time of the events, was just 13 years old (and therefore not chargeable, but reported).
The dynamics and the raids
The investigations by the Carabinieri have shed light on three separate incidents that occurred last year, specifically on September 30, October 3, and November 13, 2025. The scene of the damage was the streets between Via XX Settembre and Via Napoli.
According to the investigative reconstruction, the group acted in collusion, using soccer balls as improper "weapons": violent and targeted kicks with the specific aim of destroying or disabling the video surveillance cameras installed by the Municipality to ensure urban security.
The investigations: betrayed by social media
The gang was caught thanks to a meticulous investigation conducted by the Carabinieri, who used the same technology the vandals were attempting to destroy. The officers cross-referenced surviving video footage with photos posted on the suspects' social media profiles.
A painstaking comparison: the suspects were left with no escape route by unmistakable details, such as tattoos and facial features, which allowed them to identify all the raid participants with a name and surname.
In a context where territorial control and video surveillance are essential tools for legality, the Carabinieri operation puts an end to a series of acts of vandalism that had threatened to create shadowy areas in the city center.
Torre del Greco - The sidewalks near the historic center of Torre del Greco were becoming an illegal dumping ground for inert materials and hazardous waste. This eco-criminal act was ignored by the intensified enforcement ordered by the municipal administration, led by Mayor Luigi Mennella and coordinated by the municipal police command headed by...
More than thirty years after the last systematic research, Villa Sora, in the municipality of Torre del Greco, once again offers new insights into the life and architecture of one of the most important seaside villas in the Gulf of Naples. Archaeological investigations begun in November 2025 by the Herculaneum Archaeological Park are revealing previously unexplored spaces and precious decorative elements, suggesting a complex history interrupted by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
The new research focused on the villa's northeastern façade, where a room measuring just ten square meters revealed walls decorated with a dark background, bands of red cinnabar, herons surrounding a gilded candelabra, and a ceiling adorned with garlands, friezes, and mythological figures, including griffins and a moving centaur. Fragments of white marble capitals, finely decorated lead cistae, and other architectural elements clearly indicate the existence of an active construction site at the time of the catastrophe, transforming the room into a storage area for materials destined for ongoing construction projects.
Naples – Four people have been reported at large by the Carabinieri of the Naples Mobile Radio Unit for conspiracy to commit aggravated damage. The incident occurred in the Chiaiano neighborhood, where the four—all males between the ages of 32 and 36—were caught red-handed spray-painting a train of the…

A useless and uneducational measure. You end up in prison, even for a few months, and are released only when the damages are paid. The authorities are inadequate. This way, respect for justice will always be zero.
It's incredible how people can behave like this, but young people today no longer understand respect. The Carabinieri have done an exceptional job, and we hope this serves as a lesson to everyone in the future.
