Caivano – They attempted to escape, but were "followed" by municipal security cameras and caught by the Carabinieri. Two men, already known to law enforcement, were arrested in Caivano in an operation triggered by a tip-off from an off-duty soldier from the local company.
According to the reconstruction, the Carabinieri officer noticed two young men in a Fiat Panda near the Town Hall. The car apparently approached a third young man, who was seen rummaging through a trash can.
When the three noticed the soldier's presence, despite him being in civilian clothes, the Panda sped off while the third individual fled on foot.
The officers then found 91 grams of cocaine in the trash can. At that point, the operations center raised the alarm, and the Carabinieri station in Caivano began a search, also relying on the municipal video surveillance system. The footage showed the small car was intercepted as it drove through the city center, and thanks to real-time coordination with those monitoring the footage, it was caught and stopped.
The search is underway for the third accomplice who fled on foot.
In the car were Antonio Serrao, 33 years old, from Caivano, and Carmine Junior Squaglione,
24-year-old from Crispano. The two were arrested and taken to prison; their possessions were also seized.
€755, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. Investigations are underway to identify the third accomplice who fled.

I read the article and it seems to me that the situation in Caivano is very complicated. The Carabinieri are doing a good job, but it's strange how young people are trying to escape. Video surveillance is useful but also disturbing for privacy.
