Vairano Patenora – Carabinieri officers raided a cocaine dealership in the Scalo district of Vairano Patenora. On the evening of Wednesday, January 21st, officers from the local station—after conducting extensive surveillance and tailing—arrested a 34-year-old Albanian man of no fixed address on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
The operation took place in an isolated urban area, long targeted by law enforcement due to the frequent presence of drug dealers and users. The Carabinieri caught the man just as he was selling a dose of cocaine to an unidentified individual. Upon seeing the uniforms, the alleged buyer fled on foot, managing to disappear.
A personal search and a search of the vehicle—a rented Smart Forfour—were conducted immediately, resulting in the discovery of 31 pre-packaged doses of cocaine, weighing approximately 12 grams in total, stored inside two plastic jars on the passenger seat.
Along with the drugs, the police also seized €515 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity. The drugs and cash were seized, while the arrested man—by order of the judicial authorities—was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remains awaiting sentencing.
The operation confirms the Carabinieri's ongoing commitment to combating drug dealing in the upper Caserta area, an area where—despite numerous checks—micro-dealing hotspots persist, often run by homeless individuals or those renting cars to evade controls.
After personal and house searches, the two were found in possession of over 2,7 kilograms of cocaine and crack, with an estimated street value of approximately €300.000. Packaging materials, precision scales, and €545 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, were also seized. Following formalities, the arrested individuals were…
