Ischia – A 38-year-old man of Pakistani origin was arrested yesterday in Ischia by the State Police and taken to prison. He is serving a final four-year prison sentence for sexual assault, a crime committed in 2018 in the municipality of Forio d'Ischia.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Naples Police Headquarters Flying Squad and the Ischia Public Safety Commissioner's Office, in compliance with an order issued on December 1st by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office.
The man, located and apprehended without any particular difficulty, was transferred to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence. The sentence became enforceable following the judicial process initiated following the 2018 events.
