Naples – An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon in Scampia by the State Police for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Officers from the Scampia Police Station, during a territorial patrol, spotted the Neapolitan man selling drugs inside Celeste Park. The patrol cars intervened immediately, aimed at disrupting the criminal activity.

During the search, the eighteen-year-old was found in possession of eight doses of heroin, weighing approximately 2,5 grams. He also had €260 in cash in his pockets, divided into various denominations of banknotes, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The boy was then taken to prison, by order of the judicial authorities, pending further investigation. The operation is part of the ongoing anti-drug trafficking effort conducted by the State Police in the northern area of ​​Naples.
