AVELLINO – Over 40 products intended for sale were seized by the Guardia di Finanza of the Avellino Provincial Command as part of targeted checks to ensure the safety of goods placed on the market. The targeted items included stationery, Carnival and Valentine's Day accessories, hardware supplies, and various other items, which were found to lack the essential requirements set by current legislation.
The operation involved several commercial establishments in Avellino, Ariano Irpino, and Serino. Finance police found products on the shelves lacking the legally required information, which is essential for ensuring traceability and consumer protection.
Upon completion of the inspections, the goods were seized. The owners of the businesses involved were notified and reported to the Irpinia-Sannio Chamber of Commerce for any applicable penalties.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to combat the marketing of products that don't comply with safety standards, with particular attention to periods of the year characterized by increased purchases related to holidays and special occasions.

I agree with Jacopo, but I think shopkeepers should be better informed about the rules to avoid problems. If they don't know what they're supposed to do, it's difficult for them to do their job properly.
It's important that the Guardia di Finanza conduct checks on products for sale, especially during the holidays. Consumers need to be confident that what they buy is safe and compliant with regulations. I hope this vigilance continues.
