Naples – Carabinieri from the Borgoloreto station have arrested a 46-year-old man, believed to be responsible for a violent robbery that took place inside a local pharmacy. The preliminary investigations judge of the Naples Court issued a detention order at the request of the Prosecutor's Office.
The assault and punch to the employee
According to the investigation, the man entered shortly before closing time. Once inside, he threatened to kill an employee to force her to let him into the area behind the counter, where the register was located.
At that moment, a second employee intervened in an attempt to stop him, but was violently punched in the eye by the robber.
Escaping with the loot
Under constant threat, the 46-year-old forced the staff to open the cash register, withdrawing approximately €500 in cash. He then disappeared, disappearing without a trace until his identification was made possible thanks to evidence collected by the police and coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office. The arrested man is now in prison awaiting trial.
