An intermunicipal task force has been established in Boscoreale to combat illegal waste disposal in border areas. On Thursday morning, an institutional meeting was held between Pasquale Di Lauro and Francesco Ranieri, mayors of Boscoreale and Terzigno, respectively. The meeting was attended by the commanders of the local police forces, the heads of the technical offices, and the city councilors of the two entities.
Joint Action Plan
The goal is to implement a joint, coordinated, and structured action to stop the littering that has long affected the border areas between the two territories. Joint inspections, extraordinary cleanup operations, prevention and information campaigns, and enhanced enforcement measures are planned for the coming weeks. The action will also be extended to the Municipality of Poggiomarino.
Di Lauro: "Only by joining forces can we truly make an impact."
"We have decided to team up because only by joining forces and resources can we truly make an impact. Protecting public health and urban decorum is an absolute priority. We will strengthen enforcement and will not hesitate to impose sanctions on those responsible. I would also like to thank Francesco Ranieri for his willingness and spirit of collaboration demonstrated from the very beginning," said Mayor of Boscoreale Pasquale Di Lauro.
De Falco: "A concrete response to citizens"
The meeting was strongly supported by Boscoreale City Councilor Adriana De Falco: "It was necessary to activate coordination between municipalities to provide a concrete response to citizens and protect our territory with targeted and shared actions. The task force represents the first step in this process of combating illegal dumping," she stated.

It seems to me to be a good initiative but a little confusing, the inter-municipal task force seems good but there is a lack of clarity on roles and responsibilities, the mayors have said a lot but then it is not known how the controls will be carried out, then Poggiomarino was inserted at the last moment, De Falco speaks of a first step but we need to see concrete results and precise resources.
