Acerra – A routine morning turned violent on Via Marconi. What was supposed to be a simple clarification on a bureaucratic matter escalated into a brutal physical attack on an employee of the Acerra Municipal Tax Office.

The explosion of violence in the office

According to an initial reconstruction, still being examined by investigators, the spark apparently ignited within the walls of the municipal offices. A 62-year-old man, either impatient or in open disagreement with the institution's procedures, began a heated argument with one of the employees on duty.

At the heart of the dispute was the method of transmitting a tax bill: a technical detail that, in a matter of moments, made the user lose his temper.

Words quickly gave way to action: the attacker allegedly violently headbutted the employee in the face, leaving him stunned in front of his incredulous colleagues.

The intervention of the rescue services and the Carabinieri

The alarm was immediately raised with paramedics and law enforcement. The Carabinieri from the Acerra station responded quickly to the scene, identifying the 62-year-old and collecting initial testimonies to clarify the circumstances of the event.

The victim was taken to the emergency room for treatment. Fortunately, the impact did not cause serious injuries: doctors discharged the man with a three-day prognosis for facial bruises.

While tensions remain high in the Via Marconi offices, the Carabinieri are continuing their investigations to determine the legal responsibilities of the 62-year-old. The incident once again shines a spotlight on the safety of public employees, who are often on the front lines and the target of frustrations that erupt into unjustifiable outbursts of anger.
