Benevento – New violence in Sannio: around 3:00 a.m. this morning, a gang of criminals used propane gas or a homemade explosive to blow up the ATM at the Credem branch on Via Principessa Maria José in San Bartolomeo in Galdo.
The explosion, heard by residents, caused extensive damage: shattered glass, a torn-off door, and scattered debris, with torn sheet metal allowing money to be snatched from drawers.
This is the second identical attack on the same branch, following the one on November 7-8, 2025, using the same explosive technique. Carabinieri from the local branch, supported by the Benevento Investigative Unit, have begun technical surveys and analysis of video surveillance cameras to identify the fugitives, who fled in a car.
The loot is still being quantified by law enforcement and the bank, while the area has been cordoned off for appraisals. This incident is part of a series of similar attacks in Sannio and Southern Italy, involving specialized gangs who sow fear and inconvenience for residents.

I don't understand how and why there are so many explosives-related robberies in this area. Security seems to be lacking, and people are afraid to leave their homes. They should do something to stop these criminal gangs that ruin people's lives.
