Brusciano was thoroughly searched by the Carabinieri of the local station, who carried out a wide-ranging search of the "219" public housing complex on Via De Filippo.
During searches of the homes and common areas, the officers found 14 kilos of marijuana in a condominium space, hidden in 13 vacuum-packed bags concealed inside a cavity in the wall.
Along with the hidden substance, 109 doses of the same drug were also found, pre-packaged and ready for retail sale.
Another seven kilos of hashish in blocks and doses seized
The seizure didn't stop there. During the operation, the Carabinieri discovered another 7 kilos of hashish, divided into 44 blocks and 229 doses ready for sale. Overall, the operation led to the seizure of over 21 kilos of narcotics.
Ammunition was also found: four bullets and cartridges
Not just drugs: the seized material also included ammunition. Officers recovered four 7,65-caliber bullets and four 20-gauge cartridges, which are now being examined by investigators.
Checks at the "219" complex will continue in the coming days, as part of a plan to combat drug dealing and crime in the area.

It's incredible how so much drugs and ammunition could be found in one place, but law enforcement should do more to prevent these incidents. We hope the situation improves over time.
