The intensified operations implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters yesterday involved the Barra neighborhood, with a large-scale territorial control operation. The operation, coordinated by the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, involved personnel from the State Police, the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, and the Nibbio crews of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue.
During the extraordinary operation, officers identified 54 people, 10 of whom had criminal records. They also checked 28 vehicles: one was seized, and five traffic violations were reported.

Yesterday's operation in Barra appears to have been well-organized, but I wonder if the checks are truly effective. Identifying people and checking vehicles isn't enough to improve security in the neighborhood; a stronger presence is needed.
