Naples – A high-impact operation took place yesterday evening in the Chiaia nightlife district. Officers from the San Ferdinando police station, along with the Administrative Police, the Public Order Unit II, the Local Police, the Naples Local Health Authority (ASL Napoli 1), and the Fire Department, combed the bars and surrounding streets. This joint operation was commissioned by the Naples Police Headquarters to intensify patrols in the city's nightlife districts.

Fines and suspensions for irregularities

Ten businesses were targeted. The owners were charged with numerous non-compliances: two businesses were fined for health and hygiene violations, while seven establishments were found to be in violation of the law for occupying public land, with outdoor seating and tables exceeding municipal permits. The total administrative fines amounted to €2.000.

A place closed due to an illegal emergency exit

The most serious measure involved a restaurant, which ordered the immediate suspension of dance entertainment. The venue's emergency exit did not comply with current regulations, a deficiency that puts customers' safety at risk in the event of an emergency.

During the inspections, eight kilograms of poorly preserved or unlabeled food were also seized, to protect public health.
