An extraordinary territorial control operation targeted the Roma camp in the ASI area on the northern outskirts of Giugliano in Campania. The operation was conducted by Carabinieri from the Giugliano Company, supported by the Naples Forestry Group and soldiers from the Castello di Cisterna Company, with the stated aim of combating environmental pollution and land degradation.
78 people checked, five vehicles seized
The search resulted in the arrest of 78 people inside the camp. During checks of parked vehicles, the officers seized five uninsured vehicles. But the most significant discovery came shortly thereafter, inside a wooden shack.
The brand hidden among the sheet metal
Hidden between the boards of a makeshift shelter, the Carabinieri found 64 items of haute couture clothing by LBM, with an estimated market value of €50. According to investigators, the merchandise had been stolen last October from the parking lot of the Maximall shopping center in Torre Annunziata. The valuable loot was guarded by a woman who is now under investigation for receiving stolen goods.
Electrical material of dubious origin
During the search, 150 electrical components were also found and seized—including spotlights, transformers, and other items—the origin of which has not been clarified and which also appear to be of suspicious provenance.
