Caserta State Police recently arrested a 24-year-old man from Castel Volturno, charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics. During a patrol of the town, officers from the Castel Volturno police station observed the young man, already known for a drug-related offense, acting suspiciously.

Personal checks and searches

The officers approached for a check, but the 24-year-old immediately appeared very hostile and uncooperative. The officers then proceeded to search him, during which they found him in possession of several packages containing hashish and a sum of cash, believed to be the proceeds of illicit drug dealing.

The house search and seizure

The search was then extended to the young man's home, where officers found additional doses of hashish, totaling approximately 36 grams. All the material was seized and made available to the judicial authorities.

Precautionary measures and ongoing investigations

The 24-year-old was arrested and, following a validation hearing, was placed under precautionary custody requiring him to report to the police station. Investigations are continuing to reconstruct the drug dealing network and determine whether the young man was acting in conjunction with other individuals.
