According to the Cremona Police Headquarters, around twenty Napoli ultras arrived in the city on board a minivan and two rental cars, moving in a group through the streets and squares around the stadium.
During the transfers, some Azzurri fans reportedly got out of their vehicles and attacked a Cremonese supporter heading to the Zini stadium, stealing a scarf and a cap in the official Cremonese colours.
Shortly thereafter, in a parking lot near the stadium, two more home fans were reportedly targeted; one of them, an elderly man, was spared the theft of his scarf only because he displayed severe anxiety when confronted by the attackers.
Smoke bombs in the away section and DIGOS investigations
During the match, several smoke bombs were lit in the section occupied by the visiting fans.
The Cremona Police Headquarters' DIGOS (Special Operations Unit), through the analysis of numerous images, was able to identify 14 members of the Neapolitan ultras group, including the alleged perpetrators of the attacks and two fans believed to be responsible for lighting the smoke bombs inside the stadium.
The assault by the grey-reds and the injured officer
At the end of the match, around 50 Cremonese ultras, wearing masks and armed with poles and sticks, attempted to reach the section occupied by Napoli fans.
The Mobile Unit contingent intervened, blocking the advance, but a police officer was slightly injured in the clashes.
In this case too, thanks to video footage taken by the forensic police, the DIGOS identified four disguised Cremonese supporters in possession of objects capable of causing offence, who were subject to banishment orders.
