A firecracker thrown from the stands onto the pitch has led to the match being scrutinized by the judiciary. A 19-year-old Inter ultra was placed under house arrest for his actions on Sunday at the Giovanni Zini Stadium in Cremona during the match between Cremonese and the Nerazzurri, when a device exploded near Cremonese goalkeeper Emil Audero.

Milan's preliminary investigations judge, Giulia Marozzi, validated the arrest made by the DIGOS (Italian Special Operations Division), coordinated by Public Prosecutor Francesco Cajani, and ordered house arrest at the young man's parents' home. The reasons cited "grave danger to the safety of the players and other people in the stands" and the risk of repeating the crime due to the "inability to control his impulses."

The investigating judge, while upholding the order, forwarded the case to the Cremona Public Prosecutor's Office, declaring his territorial lack of jurisdiction. The alleged crime is throwing dangerous materials at sporting events, aggravated by the risk of jeopardizing the regular continuation of the event.

According to investigators' reconstruction, the young man, close to the Nerazzurri ultras group Viking, allegedly procured around thirty firecrackers in Naples similar to the one that exploded at the start of the second half. The investigation also revealed a previous drug dealing report, which contributed to the assessment of his social danger.

Before the judge, the 19-year-old admitted his guilt, maintaining, however, that it wasn't a firecracker but a simple firecracker, and declaring himself remorseful. "I had no intention of hitting the goalkeeper or hurting anyone," he stated during the preliminary hearing. The defense, led by attorney Mirko Perlino, has already appealed to the Court of Review, requesting the reversal of the measure. The lawyer emphasized that "the charge does not warrant the application of precautionary measures" and cited the boy's "young age" and clean criminal record, as well as his "good conduct in court."
