Avellino – A warehouse measuring approximately 400 square meters was seized in Flumeri, in the Avellino area, following an operation by the Carabinieri Forestry Corps' Environmental Investigation Unit (NIPAF).

The structure, made of metal and anchored firmly to the ground, served as a warehouse for raw materials and derivatives and was used by a company operating in the agri-food sector.

According to the inspections, the work was carried out in total absence of the necessary building permits and, above all, the anti-seismic certification required by law.

The operation is part of targeted prevention and repression of environmental and urban planning crimes conducted by the Avellino Carabinieri Forestry Group. Following the investigation, the company owner was reported at large to the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of illegal building.

The entire structure has been placed under preventive seizure, sealed, pending judicial decisions. The Carabinieri Forestry Corps announced that inspections in the Irpinia region will continue, with particular attention to combating illegal construction in rural and industrial areas, which often poses potential risks to structural safety and the environment.
