Naples – The screams coming from the apartment, the desperate run up the stairs, the knife thrown from behind. This dramatic reconstruction is contained in the arrest warrant signed by investigating judge Maria Rosaria Aufiero of the Court of Naples against Giuseppe Musella, accused of the murder of his sister Jlenia, which occurred the other afternoon in an apartment on Via al Chiaro di Luna, in the Conocal district of Ponticelli.

The pieces of the tragedy were put together above all by the testimonies of the mother of the two young people and of a neighbor, considered decisive by the investigators.

The mother's story: "I saw her on the ground, I called for help."

The Musella brothers' mother told investigators that she wasn't always present in the first-floor apartment, where she formally lived with her children. In fact, she often spent the night at a friend's house, in the same building as Conocal Park.

That afternoon, drawn by screams coming from the apartment, the woman left the house and ran outside. A terrifying scene awaited her.
"I saw my daughter lying on the ground, her back covered in blood," he said. "I asked for help to take her to the hospital. The dog was also bloody."

The argument and the escalation: the witness reconstructs everything

Even more detailed is the testimony of a neighbor who was present in the apartment moments before the attack. According to his account, Jlenia was having a heated argument on the phone with some friends, sending WhatsApp voice messages, when the tension spilled into the apartment.

The argument with her brother Giuseppe quickly escalated. The man allegedly attacked his sister, kicking and punching her. At that point, a seemingly trivial incident further fueled his fury: the dog had urinated on the floor, and Jlenia demanded her brother clean it up, threatening to throw a dirty rag on his bed if she didn't.

Frightened by her brother's violence, the 22-year-old attempted to flee. It was then, according to testimony, that Giuseppe Musella chased her down the stairs, armed with a knife.

The fatal act occurred in the building's entrance hall. The 25-year-old allegedly threw the knife at his sister's back.
“Jlenia turned towards me,” the witness said, “she took a few steps and then collapsed.”

The escape, the arrest and the murder charge

After the attack, Giuseppe Musella reportedly fled, disappearing without a trace. The investigation, coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office, led to his location and arrest on murder charges. The investigating judge upheld the order, finding serious evidence of his guilt.

Jlenia's story is truly sad, but I don't understand how a fight could end so brutally. Violence is never the solution; let's hope justice takes its course and clarifies the facts.
