Naples – A powerful explosion rocked the Neapolitan night shortly after midnight on Via Generale D'Ambrosio, in the San Carlo Arena neighborhood. Initial reports suggest it was caused by a gas leak from an LPG cylinder.
No injuries were reported. The explosion occurred inside an uninhabited ground-floor apartment, which was completely gutted by the blast. Structural damage rendered the entire building uninhabitable, forcing the precautionary evacuation of 13 residents.
The Carabinieri, Fire Brigade, and Civil Protection responded to the scene to secure the area and verify the stability of the building. The investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident has been entrusted to the Carabinieri of the Naples San Pietro a Patierno station.
