Yesterday evening, the State Police arrested an 18-year-old Egyptian man, an illegal immigrant, for assaulting and resisting a public official. He was also charged with illegal possession of narcotics and receiving stolen goods.

In particular, the Falcons of the Flying Squad, during the operations arranged for this purpose, while passing through Via Milano noticed two individuals on board a scooter who, at the sight of them, abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The police officers, who promptly intervened, reached and, with considerable difficulty and after a struggle, arrested one of them, later identified as the 18-year-old, finding him in possession of a package of hashish weighing approximately 6 grams. Furthermore, from the subsequent investigations, the officers confirmed that the scooter on which the two individuals were traveling had been stolen, reported on February 9th.

For these reasons, the suspect was arrested by the operating personnel while the scooter was returned to its rightful owner.

The arrest of the 18-year-old Egyptian is a serious matter, but it's important that the police do their job. I hope a more thorough investigation will be conducted to better understand the situation and how to address it.
