It's raining hot air at Napoli. After missing Sunday night's late match against Roma, the tests performed this morning at the Pineta Grande Clinic confirmed the most pessimistic impressions: Amir Rrahmani has a high-grade tear of the biceps femoris in his left thigh.
The clinic's verdict
The Kosovar defender, a key figure in the Italian defence, collapsed to the ground during the match at the Maradona stadium, immediately experiencing severe pain. Today's diagnosis leaves no room for interpretation: the severity of the injury requires a forced layoff that will keep the centre-back off the pitch for an estimated 8 to 10 weeks.
Endless Calvary
This is Rrahmani's third muscle injury in a troubled season, which has already seen him sidelined for 13 matches. This latest injury threatens to bring an early end to his season: with two months left, the defender could only be available for the final few days of the season, forcing the coach to completely reshape his defensive line for the upcoming final sprint.

It's a very complicated situation for Napoli and for Rrahmani, who has already had injury problems. We hope he can recover quickly, but 8-10 weeks is a long time and it's not easy.
