A completely illegal car wash was seized in Piscinola during a joint operation by law enforcement and environmental agencies. The operation is part of a broader local monitoring effort aimed at combating illegal activities that impact the environment.
Naples Local Police officers, including officers from the Scampia Operational Unit and the Environmental Investigation and Social Emergencies unit, supported by Carabinieri from the Marianella station and an ARPAC official, were deployed. The investigation led to the plant's closure, as it was found to lack the necessary permits to operate in compliance with environmental regulations.
According to the inspections, the owner did not possess the Single Environmental Authorization for wastewater discharge. Furthermore, irregularities were found related to unauthorized discharge and the illegal management of waste produced by the business. For these violations, the man was reported to the judicial authorities. During the operation, several administrative fines were also imposed.
