Pozzuoli – A haul made from dreams of fortune, but with a truly enormous value. The estimated damage after the overnight robbery of a tobacco shop on Via Miliscola, Pozzuoli, is approximately €20. The thieves struck around 4:00 a.m., taking advantage of the cover of darkness and the currently deserted area.
The dynamics of the theft
According to initial reconstructions, the gang forced their way into the store with surgical speed. Once inside, their target was immediately clear: not tobacco or cash, but scratch-off tickets. Within minutes, the thieves had cleared out the displayed and stored tickets, quickly fleeing.
The Carabinieri of the local company were alerted to the scene immediately after the alarm was raised. They conducted technical surveys to identify any traces left by the criminals and acquired images from the area's video surveillance systems.
Investigators' goal is now to trace the route of the getaway car and determine whether the gang has already attempted to place or cash in the stolen tickets, which may have been immediately blocked by Lottomatica's electronic system.

This news is very interesting but also worrying. The theft of "Scratch and Win" cards makes us reflect on how important security is in stores. I hope the thieves are found soon and that it doesn't happen again.
